The path to good health does not start and end at the door of the hospital or a doctor’s office. That’s why Health Net recently sponsored Healthful Harvest, a community wellness event in Arvin, California. Health Net, four local hospitals and other providers offered nearly two dozen screenings and health care services available to residents. This included:
- Dental and vision screenings
- Pediatric preventive health care
- Immunizations for flu and COVID
- Mental health screening
- Breast and cervical cancer screenings
- Food baskets
- Help with health insurance enrollment
The event is just one part of Health Net’s ongoing commitment to creating healthier communities. Since 2017, we have invested more than $100 million in more than 500 community-based organizations. This funding helped groups provide health education, food access, shelter, vaccinations and much more.
