In California, an estimated 1.2 million uninsured people are eligible for financial help today through Covered California. They may also qualify for low-cost or no-cost coverage through Medi-Cal.

Get Help to Enroll

Enrolling isn’t easy for everyone. That’s why Health Net awarded $1.96 million in grants to local Medi-Cal providers to help educate residents about Medi-Cal benefits. The company awarded grants to a variety of organizations:

  • Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)
  • Community Based Organizations (CBO)
  • Clinic consortia in California

As part of its Community & Infrastructure Investment program, Health Net awarded 24 grants this year. Each organization received up to $90,000 to help increase enrollment across California over the next 13-months.

How Organizations Will Use the Grand Funding

  • Amplify awareness of available benefits
  • Educate communities about the importance of health care coverage
  • Help newly eligible people enroll in health care coverage
  • Assist new enrollees in healthcare system comprehension
  • Support existing members through the coverage renewal process
